On this year's Association for Consumer Research Conference in Atlanta, Georgia in October 2002 Markus Giesler and I presented two papers on our longitudinal research project Napster.com “The Anthropology of File Sharing: Consuming Napster as a Gift” and “The Social Form of Napster: Cultivating the Paradox of Consumer Emancipation”. Furthermore, we presented our video ethnography "The Elizabeth Smart Case: Enactment of a Suburban Nightmare", that won the award "Best Short Feature" at the ACR Film Festival 2002.
