This research should describe the processes by which young consumers between age 16 and 24 worship a media star, construct, elaborate and interpret his or her personality with respect to the characteristic cues that are the focus of the star. Moreover, it explains the social context(s) in which these processes occur and the role of these processes in the social construction and maintenance of the star as an idol.
